– A Knowledge City consists of people creating, developing and sharing knowledge – and of those who acquire and apply it. Heilbronn is already brimming with people like this, and they will soon be joined by 10,000 students living, learning and thriving in Heilbronn.
– Heilbronn may not have a long tradition as a university city: only about 60 years ago, the “Staatliche Ingenieurschule“ was founded, a school for engineers located in Heilbronn-Sontheim. This was the predecessor of today’s Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences and Heilbronn’s only institution of higher education until the foundation of the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in 2005. It was only when the Dieter Schwarz Foundation created the inner-city “Bildungscampus“ (Education Campus), where today more than 10 educational institutions find their home, that student life in Heilbronn started gathering speed.
– Both the Bildungscampus and Campus Sontheim are superbly equipped places of learning, and the city itself offers a high quality of life. Taken together, this renders Heilbronn an attractive place for studying – with a perspective for more: the region is home to several globally leading brands as well as to numerous medium-sized companies, and graduates will find many opportunities to grow into leadership. All the more reason to study – and stay!
