More and more, the Knowledge City Heilbronn is part of an all-encompassing educational environment. Besides childcare facilities and schools, the last years have seen a rapid development of opportunities at higher education level, enabling studies at various forms of universities.

The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Heilbronn, its Center of Advanced Studies, the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, the Campus Heilbronn of the Technical University Munich and the Coding School 42 Heilbronn: five institutions that together cover a wide spectrum of challenging and popular study programs ranging from business and technology to IT and social sciences. Furthermore, the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO with its Research and Innovation Center for Cognitive Service Systems (KODIS) and the Ferdinand Steinbeis Institute for Business Transformation have found a home on the Bildungscampus (“Educational Campus“) of the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, complementing the research activities of the universities.
