Lifelong learning
Our society changes, and so do the requirements of job and day-to-day life. Lifelong learning means to constantly adapt our readiness to face changed circumstances across all walks of life.
That’s why the Knowledge City Heilbronn focuses not only on basic educational needs but sees learning as a process for everyone, all the time – from early childhood care and education to school, training, studies and all throughout a lifetime of working on the job. Lifelong learning is becoming evermore important. Not just for society and business, but also for each and every one of us, for our personal development. Lifelong learning helps us cope with social change and better handle the challenges of the job market. It creates confidence and can vastly improve one’s quality of life. That is why the Knowledge City Heilbronn puts education and further education at its center, as basic components of lifelong learning. Besides numerous public and private educational institutions, Heilbronn also has a Kids’ University – organized by aim – and a Citizens’ University, organized by the Heilbronner Stimme, the GGS and the TUM.
